This village, between Dayton and Columbus, still serves as the headquarters for what started as the "Yellow Springs Instrument Company" — now known as YSI Inc.

The Tennessee Concrete Association – TCA – was formed in 1986 (originally known as the Tennessee Ready Mixed Concrete Association) with the primary purpose of promoting the increased use of ready mixed concrete in Tennessee. Today, they have 38 ready mix producer member companies representing approximately 70% of the annual ready mix production in Tennessee. The TCA is organized as an IRS 501 C (6) non-profit trade association.

Through the activities and advocacy of three state sections, TNASLA works to educate the public on the benefits that the Landscape Architecture profession provides.
