Mission Statement
The Tennessee Stormwater Association Conference Student Scholarship exists to empower the next generation of environmental professionals by providing students with access to high-impact learning and networking opportunities at the annual conference. Through this support, the scholarship fosters academic growth, professional development, and a deeper understanding of stormwater management. Up to 10 scholarship opportunities available.
General Purpose
The purpose of the Tennessee Stormwater Association Conference Student Scholarship is to support collegiate and postgraduate students with a demonstrated interest in stormwater management by enabling their attendance at the TNSA Annual Conference. The scholarship aims to:
• Encourage student engagement in the stormwater profession
• Provide exposure to real-world practices, policies, and innovations
• Facilitate meaningful connections with professionals, mentors, and peers
• Inspire continued education and careers in environmental protection and water quality
Included in the Scholarship
• Complimentary conference registration, including breakfast & lunch each day of the event and Wednesday Dinner Reception at Ober Gatinburg
• Mentorship throughout the conference by a dedicated TNSA Board Member
• A meaningful volunteer opportunity: recipients may assist with a two-hour shift at the registration desk, where they can welcome attendees and engage with professionals
Eligibility
• Full-time student in good standing, currently enrolled at a college or university.
• A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
Attendee Responsibilities

Hotel Room ($110 a night at the Park Vista and $15 a day for parking)

Transportation to the event

Dinner Tuesday night (free trolley available from hotel to Gatlinburg and restaurant on-site)
